What is America's Great Loop?
The Great Loop is a continuous waterway route that encompasses the eastern portion of North America — connecting the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway (ICW), the Great Lakes, Canadian heritage canals, inland rivers, and the Gulf of Mexico. Thousands of boaters complete this epic 5,000+ mile journey each year.
The America's Great Loop Cruisers' Association (AGLCA) supports cruisers planning and completing the Loop, with over 8,000 active members. Southwest Florida is a critical waypoint on the route, where the ICW passes through the Caloosahatchee River and Okeechobee Waterway.
